The International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) was formed in 1992 to provide a forum for liaison between principal resuscitation organisations worldwide. At present, ILCOR comprises representatives of:
- American Heart Association (AHA), European Resuscitation Council (ERC), Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC), Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR), Resuscitation Councils of Southern Africa (RCSA), Inter American Heart Foundation (IAHF), Resuscitation Council of Asia (RCA)
The European Resuscitation Council (ERC) has provides the standard for resuscitation guidelines and training in Europe and beyond. Comprising 33 National Resuscitation Councils. The ERC also supports and initiates scientific studies related to resuscitation. Resuscitation is the official journal of the ERC. The ERC produces Guidelines that are the standard for resuscitation practice and training in and beyond Europe.
The UK Resuscitation council develops and publishes evidence-based resuscitation guidelines to set out the interventions and practices that are most likely to achieve successful resuscitation from cardiac arrest. These guidelines are intended for all healthcare professionals, first-aid organisations and lay people.
Emergency First Response is an internationally accedpted First Aid Training organisation. The course has been specifically tailored to ensure it meet the UK requirements for HSE First aid at work accreditation.
